Dosha test

This test is a preparatory tool for your consultation, helping us get an idea of your dosha or Prakruti type. Additionally, it allows you to familiarize yourself with how your body functions and gain greater awareness of your personal situation. Remember, Ayurveda encourages us to take control of our health and teaches us that, ultimately, we are our own doctors. This is why it's vital to be aware of how our body works.

Determining your individual dosha or Prakruti is essential to define a treatment plan and guidelines for lifestyle and diet. The specific dosha of each person is an unchanging quality throughout life, influencing how the body reacts. However, before determining your specific dosha, it's important to understand two key concepts in Ayurveda: Prakruti and Vikruti.

Prakruti is the percentage of one or more predominant doshas in a person that remains constant throughout their life and shapes how the body reacts. On the other hand, Vikruti refers to the accumulation of a dosha or doshas at a particular moment in life.

When evaluating certain aspects of our body for the first time, we may confuse Vikruti with Prakruti. To distinguish between the two, ask yourself whether this aspect has always been present or if it began at a certain point in time.

To better understand the difference between Prakruti and Vikruti, let's consider the example of constipation. People with a natural tendency towards more Vata energy often experience regular constipation. If someone has had this issue since childhood, their Prakruti is probably Vata. However, if someone who has always had regular digestion begins to experience constipation due to recent factors, this would reflect a change in their Vikruti.

For these reasons, when answering the questions in the test, ask yourself whether this aspect has always been the case or if it started at a specific time. Don't worry if some questions are difficult to answer, as we will dive deeper into your personal situation during the consultation.Â
