Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the most important traditional medicine in India. It is currently studied in Indian universities and is recognised as a traditional medicine by the World Health Organisation. It aims to enable people to fulfil their Dharma, i.e. the purpose of their existence. Health is fundamental to fulfil our highest desires.

Ayurveda helps us to maintain optimal health, prevent disease, promote longevity and can treat a wide range of physical and mental health problems.

Ayurvedic treatments are adapted to the individual constitution and needs of each person. Ayurvedic treatments include massages, diet, herbal food supplements, meditation and yoga.

Abhyanga

Abhyanga massage is one of the most important and beneficial massages in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Among its many benefits, it is highly effective in reducing stress and chronic fatigue, providing strength to the body and mind.

The massage is performed through the application of various friction techniques with warm oils and the stimulation of various marma points.

The warm oil penetrates the skin and helps to eliminate impurities and toxins, promoting detoxification of the body and nourishing all body tissues. Abhyanga balances the three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Benefits of Abhyanga:

  • Brings mental clarity

  • Promotes positive thinking

  • Balances the body's electromagnetic field

  • Eliminates stress and chronic fatigue

  • Induces sleep

  • Eliminates toxins

  • Strengthens the nerves

  • Rejuvenates the body

  • Improves immunity levels

  • Improves circulation

  • Improves digestion

  • Balances neurotransmitters and hormone secretion

  • Lubricates joints and soothes arthritis pain

  • Prevents dehydration

  • Balances the Doshas

At Ayurveda & Yoga Palma de Mallorca we use only high quality organic medicated oils to meet the specific needs of each patient and to enhance the therapeutic effect of the massage.

Muka Abhyanga (Relax and face-Lifting massage)

This Ayurveda rejuvenating face lift massage with medicated oils will provide illumination and regenerate the skin around the face. The face-lifting massage optimises the flow of nutrients into the skin and stimulates lymphatic flow into the face.

Facial massage is a therapy that not only activates cell regeneration, but also contributes to balance by relaxing the mind, releasing tensions and blocked energies in the facial tissues (especially in the jaw). Your skin will look smooth, soft and glowing. As a result, facial massage also releases emotional tensions and promotes relaxation of the whole body.

Facial massage tones and softens the skin of the face, promores sleep and provides energy and vitality.

Shiropichu

Shiro Pichu is one of the best Ayurvedic treatments for the prevention and elimination of many psychosomatic diseases. It is the best treatment for stress relief. It helps to improve neurological and nerve-related diseases. It provides strength, freshness and energy, and improves metabolism, circulation and nerve conduction.

Since the brain and nervous system control all functions of the body, any treatment of the head benefits and corrects the whole body. In Ayurveda it is considered that treating the head is treating the root of the body.

Benefits:

  • Helps to calm the mind.

  • Strengthens bones and cranial nerves.

  • Effective in balancing psychological problems.

  • Eliminates stress, anxiety and nervousness.

  • Helps to lower tension.

  • Prevents and cures headaches.

Nasya

Nasya is a detoxification treatment performed in Ayurvedic medicine with multiple properties. It is part of the well-known Ayurvedic Panchakarma cure (the five techniques for purification of the organism).

Under the supervision of a therapist and in small doses, it is one of the most important daily routines for cleansing the body.

To introduce Nasya into your daily routine, it is essential that a therapist assesses your case and gives you the necessary instructions. For the selection of the Nasya treatment that best suits your needs, your personal constitution, the imbalance to be treated and the effects you wish to achieve will be taken into account. With this information, a personalised formula of the oil or medicinal substance is prepared and the quantity to be used is indicated.

The treatment consists of a single session in the practice, which lasts approximately one hour, and the subsequent application at home, lasting about 2 minutes.

Indications:

  • Synunsitis, rhinitis.

  • Stress, anxiety, depression.

  • Memory, concentration.

  • Rejuvenates the mind.

Consultation & Nutrition

In the consultation we determine your constitution on the basis of your physical, physiological, mental and emotional characteristics. In addition, we take into account your current situation, i.e. what your daily activities are like, your lifestyle, what you do for a living, your personal relationships and what disorders you have, as well as the season of the year we are in, in order to determine your imbalances and offer you daily and dietary guidelines that will help you to experience more energy, vitality and serenity.

In Ayuyogapalma we investigate the origin of the imbalances to determine the guidelines that you will follow in your daily life.

The most relevant guidelines are those related to food and daily routines, and that is why we help you to define which routines you should or can eliminate and which ones you can implement step by step in your daily life, at your own pace.
